September 29: Read John 4:21-26

During Jesus’ travels, the Holy Spirit led Him to go through Samaria even though it was not the route to His destination at the time. At a well, there was a Samaritan woman, a sinner in need of a Savior, who had no idea that she was about to serve the Lord Himself.

She was seeking but wasn’t sure for what. Christ knew just what she needed and provided an opportunity for her to find life through Living Water. This woman was converted, because Jesus was obedient to the Father’s call that He go through Samaria.

God still seeks those who will worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. The Samaritan woman was not only saved, but ran to share her transformation with others. Jesus received natural water, but she received spiritual water.

Seek life—and just like the woman of Samaria, you will thirst
no more!
